Well, we are madly getting ready to leave on Sunday. So far, both kids came down with colds, Sydney with an ear infection; even Cooper (dog) had infected tooth, antibiotics, and operation to remove the teeth and flush his ears. Always happens when you are getting ready for something!
The crib is up in Sydney's room - for Jordan. Jay saw the crib in the room last night and promptly had a meltdown because he wanted to sleep in it in Sydney's room! What are we going to do?! I am guessing he will not like having to go to his own room to sleep when we get home, either. (He did end up in his own room last night. We didn't let him sleep in "jordan's" bed.)
The weather in Guangzhou is in the mid-80s, so we will pack summer clothes. Most of the supplies for Jordan are purchased. We have the meds from the pediatrician (we always bring antibiotics), and the crisp new money is ordered from the bank (req. for adoption) . Last time, we actually ironed the bills. Today, Sydney has a dentist appointment (for teeth cleaning), and our new house sitter, Mandy, is stopping by at 4:30 to get final instructions. Ha ha.. do you think she knows what she is getting into with high-maintence Cooper?!! We are so lucky and glad we found her, and she'll be here to watch over all the animals.
Thank you for all your emails lately. We are glad many of you will follow along on this blog. Now it looks as though Sydney and I will be visiting Jinjiang, Fujian (S's hometown) on weekend of Nov. 4-5 instead of 7-8.
Think of us as we continue to get ready, pack, and clean our house!!!

Dear Sydney,
I hope you have a safe trip to China and a good ride home. You will have to tell me about your China trip the next time I see you.
I hope you have fun with your little sister.
Your friend Dilan.
